Some areas of improvement to this project could have been too have created more Seed Houses so we could have gotten more data and gotten more specific results. Another way we could have improved this project is by getting our results later and more consistently checking instead of only checking the Seed Houses to see if any seeds were taken once, after only a week of having them in Vermont Vista. We could have also created more packs of pots, seeds, and dirt than we did which would have helped more people. A last way we could have improved this project is by having a less specific area of focus and see if this would help in neighborhoods that aren't as small and have different types of people with different income levels. The next steps for solving this problem are making this solution on a larger scale, getting donations, find neighborhoods outside of the Los Angeles County that need our help and more. One next step for solving this problem could potentially be opening non profit seed store. Very similar to the seed houses except on a much larger scale and it would help many more people. Having a store for this would create more awareness on food accessibility which is something that needs to happen. A store would create more awareness on food deserts because many people would see it and hopefully some would stop by to get information. This store would run on non profit workers and be based on what could happen if more people started donating to the cause we are fighting for!
